Cassidy Petrazzi, Director of Operations

Cassidy Petrazzi was born in Westchester, New York and grew up in Larchmont, NY. She received her BFA from Alfred University, NY, studying under Peer Bode in the Department of Expanded Media. She received her MA in Art History from Oklahoma State University in 2019. As an art historian, Cassidy specializes in modern and contemporary art history. Her research interests are focused on the Fluxus movement, theories of temporality, the bodily experience of performance and time-based works, and the history of cooking.  Before arriving in Stillwater in 2016 with her husband, Jared, Cassidy worked in contemporary fine art galleries in New York City. She served as associate producer on “George: The Story of George Maciunas and Fluxus,” (2019) a documentary portrait of Fluxus impresario George Maciunas which premiered at MoMA’s 17th annual Doc Fortnight festival.

Cassidy’s connection to Jewish life began at an early age as a member of Larchmont Temple. Her time at URJ Eisner Camp in Great Barrington, MA, as a camper and counselor, as well as her participation in Jewish leadership training in Temple youth group and at URJ Kutz Camp gave her a love of Judaism, social justice, and community-building.

So far, Cassidy’s passion for the fine arts has guided her professional life. In line with her belief that a connection to art makes our lives better; makes our connections to ourselves and to each other deeper, and expands our humanity, so Cassidy believes Judaism does too. Cassidy has a deep belief in the practice of Tikkun Olam: our ability to repair and make the world a better place. She is excited to put her professional experience to work at Congregation B’nai Emunah where the values and commitments of this Jewish community are on display every day.

Cassidy and Jared, along with their twin boys Townes and Dune (and dachshund, Bocko), are recent and happy transplants to Tulsa.
