What does it mean to be a Jew in Tulsa? What does it mean to be a member of B’nai Emunah? Our elders and our young people (including the very young) will reflect on our Jewish lives and exactly these questions in the forthcoming essay collection My Jewish Tulsa. Join us on Saturday evening, September 24, as we hear readings from two of our contributors. The evening will begin with a light Shabbat meal at 6:45 p.m., followed by a special welcome and gifts for those individuals and families who have formally affiliated with our congregation in the past year. Our speakers will be followed by Havdalah and then a short version of Selichot, which introduces the motifs of the High Holidays and sets the musical mood of the season.
